FAQs

  • The programme is designed for financial professionals who want to deepen the human side of their practice. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, it will help you build the relational confidence, emotional intelligence, and trust-building skills that underpin great client work.

  • It’s not therapy — although it’s informed by psychotherapeutic insight. And while there are coaching elements, it’s more than that too. It’s not surface-level skills training — it’s transformational. You’ll build the emotional and relational intelligence needed to thrive in the human side of financial services, with practical tools you can apply immediately in client work.

  • Participants join a shared core curriculum with two learning streams:

    • Client Ready: for early-career professionals or those seeking more confidence

    • Client Alchemy: for seasoned professionals who want to stretch relationally

Everyone benefits from group sessions, 1:1s with Emma and, and a tailored client session review.

  • No. You’ll have a discovery call with Emma before the programme begins, where you’ll explore what you need most and which stream will serve you best.. If, after your first session, you feel you’re in the wrong place, you’re welcome to switch streams — it’s important you get what you need from the experience.

  • The programme includes four half-day group sessions (1pm-5pm GMT), four 90-minute group review calls, and two 1:1 sessions with Emma. You can also join optional peer study groups.

  • Both are welcome. If you're self-funded, we offer flexible payment options. If you're a firm sending multiple participants, we offer volume discounts.

  • Yes. Each participant can receive an individual formative feedback report, offering reflections on their strengths, areas for growth, and progress throughout the programme. These are designed to support meaningful professional development and can be shared with managers or supervisors if helpful.

Reports are available on request rather than provided as standard, so just let us know if you’d like one. For firms sending multiple participants, we’re happy to discuss tailored reporting options

  • The programme is eligible for 22 hours structured CPD. We can provide confirmation of hours and learning outcomes for your records.

  • If everyone in the group explicitly agrees then sessions can be recorded and transcripts can be shared.

  • It’s a proprietary framework developed by Emma Boardwell, blending financial coaching with psychotherapeutic insight. It includes three layers of conceptual thinking, insight and practice: Trust, Connection and Collaboration — all designed to strengthen how you work with clients.

  • You’ll leave with enhanced relational skills, greater self-awareness and practical tools for client work. And you’ll receive a digital badge that signals your commitment to relational, client-centred practice.

  • You can either pay a deposit to hold your spot, or pay in full.

Or if you have any questions before hand, or just want to arrange a chat to check it’s a good fit, you can either email or book a discovery call.

  • Yes, absolutely. The Emotional Finance Programme can be delivered in-house for firms looking to develop their people together. This allows for greater flexibility around scheduling, formatting, and tailoring content to your team’s specific needs.

If that’s something you’re considering, we’d be happy to explore what would work best for you.
